Not all innovations in the Galaxy S24 series are AI-based, but many are
A very extensive leak shows screenshots of several planned innovations that Samsung plans to introduce with the Galaxy S24 series next year. Some of it has to do with AI, but not all of it. Things are already kicking off with wallpapers for the lock screen
On the one hand, there will be AI wallpapers. You tell the software what a wallpaper should display and the AI creates a new image. However, I find the new effects more exciting. Weather effect can reflect the current weather on the lock screen wallpaper. This would definitely be pretty cool.
Now we come to two AI functions. One of them is for photo editor. For example, Samsung will offer to expand Photos. AI can refill the background. Useful when you rearrange a crooked picture.
You can also cut objects from a photo, move them, and paste them into other photos It’s not fundamentally new, but thanks to AI it can work better than ever. Last but not least, the photo editor has the new ability to go back to the last edit at any time and start over.
Another worrisome note among the new AI features. AI can reformat written text. For example, rewrite long paragraphs into several separate bullet points. An even bigger highlight, however, is the live translator for calls. Your language is translated directly so you can hear the translated voice, like in a dubbed film.
Once again, a function reminds us of the comparable Google offer, because Samsung, starting with the Galaxy S24 series or OneUI 6.1, also makes it possible to remove background noise for calls and make the voice more distinct.
