To celebrate the Save & Sound video game music event (taking place on Steam from September 11th to 14th), Vampire Survivors developer Ponkel has released a 10-minute clip for the first time featuring a recording of the easy orchestral soundtrack!
The soundtrack for Vampire Survivors was written by Daniel Zandara, with additional contributions from Filippo Viccarelli and William Davis. The soundtrack was originally recorded using simple digital software, but the game’s tremendous popularity allowed Ponkel to re-record it with a full orchestra. The soundtrack was recorded in several sessions with the Budapest Art Orchestra, involving 56 musicians.
Developer Quote:
“Vampire Survivor owes a lot to the soundtrack,” says Ponkel founder and rumored vampire Luca Galante. “I had constant music in my ear during early development and I couldn’t have made the game without the contributions of our composers Daniel, Filippo and Will. Well, I probably could have done it without him, but it would have been worse. However, it’s unreal to see the songs recorded by a real orchestra and we can’t thank our players enough for making it possible!”
