Return to the Pharaohs and the New Kingdom of Ancient Egypt in the next DLC for the 4X strategy game “Old World” from Hooded Horse & Mohawk Games, released on October 4, 2023. Pharaohs of the Blue Pack introduces a new narrative-driven campaign with unique events, mechanics, and new sandbox campaign content.
In the new story-driven campaign, players will experience the rise and fall of one of the most powerful empires in the ancient world – the Kingdom of Kemet (ancient name for Egypt). Experience the trials and tribulations of fighting powerful religious factions from the founding of ancient Kemet’s Golden Age to its Bronze Age decline and the Great Migration of the “Sea Peoples”.
The campaign comes with unique mechanics such as the Nile flood cycle, scenario-specific content such as the Ma’at Knife to track whether your race is balanced, as well as numerous new characters, NPCs and event chains. Pay close attention because you may find yourself in a story inspired by the Old Testament in the Book of Exodus.
In the sandbox campaign, players can play as the Kush, a newly allied nation that emerged after the fall in the 8th century BC. becomes more important. In addition to the usual array of national bonuses and unique units, Kush is the first nation in the Old World to receive a unique upgrade – the Kushite Pyramid. There are also five dynasties to choose from, such as Piye, the first Kushite pharaoh who united Kush and Egypt under one rule, and Amanirenas, the warrior queen who led Kush against the Roman Empire.
The new DLC will be localized in German, French, Spanish, Russian, Brazilian Portuguese, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese and Japanese.
