Italian sim racing peripheral manufacturer Cube Controls has hinted at an official collaboration with Mercedes-AMG in recent months. However, Cube Controls has now officially confirmed that its new PC-only Mercedes-AMG – GT Edition SIM wheel will be released this week, officially announcing that it will cost €705 (excluding VAT and shipping).
In March 2022, Cube Controls announced its collaboration with Mercedes-AMG, where the Italian company developed a special steering wheel for the Stuttgart carmaker’s Mercedes-AMG GT Track series. Although the GT version SIM wheel shares the track series steering wheel, it offers more functionality than the original design with four front buttons via two knobs and two joysticks.
In concrete terms, this means: the SIM steering wheel has at least 10 buttons with RGB lighting, two rotary encoders, two fancy switches and additional rotary knobs designed specifically for the thumbs of SIM racing enthusiasts.
Although the 320 mm diameter steering wheel is quite large, it impresses with fine craftsmanship made of aluminum and carbon fiber, complemented by LED TC and ABS signal lights that give more feedback to the user.
