Square Enix has announced that this weekend’s FOAMSTARS Open Beta Party will begin on Saturday at 3:00 AM. All PlayStation 5 players are invited to join the free open beta party for the new 4v4 foam party shooter, which will be available for download on the PlayStation Store.
During the Open Beta Party, players can choose between two game modes: “Smash the Stars” and “Happy Bath Survival”. There are also eight unique and colorful characters to choose from, each with their own play style, special weapons and unique special abilities.
Additionally, FOAMSTARS on PlayStation 5 utilizes the special features of the DualSense controller. Adaptive triggers and vibrations with haptic feedback provide players with an intuitive gaming experience when shooting with foam. The game also supports the controller’s motion sensor, which enables gyro-targeting of opponents.
Access to the beta will be available as soon as it goes live, and a PlayStation Plus membership is not required to participate.

Saturday, September 30th, 3:00 am – Monday, October 2nd, 8:59 am
Players who participate in the open beta party and help stress test the FOAMSTARS servers will receive a special cosmetic item for the character Soa as a thank you when they download the main game for release in early 2024. To get this exclusive item, they will need to download FOAMSTARS when it launches in spring 2024 using the same PlayStation Network account they used to play the beta version.
