Kill It With Fire 2, the highly anticipated sequel to the iconic first-person shooter Spectacular created by Casey Donelan, is pleased to announce the first-ever multiplayer features in the franchise. Two multiplayer modes, the four-player cooperative campaign mode and the fun and chaotic PVP showdown Spider Hunt, will be available on Steam Early Access in the first quarter of 2024.
Starting today, players can experience some of Spider Hunt’s heart-pounding action by joining the free beta play test via the Steam site. The beta phase runs until November 1, 2023, so don’t miss your chance to be a part of the Spiders vs. Exterminators showdown!
In the role of Exterminators, players work together to search the map for weapons such as rocket launchers, laser pistols or good old flamethrowers and set fire to opposing spider teams. If you choose the eight-legged arachnid, use your spider skills to weave webs, slow your pursuers, make daring leaps and master the art of spider parkour to outwit your opponents and force them to damage their property to dismiss them. before you burn
In addition to Spider Hunt, the full game will be released with a cooperative mode that allows four players to embark on a spider-fueled journey through the game’s main campaign. Every trait, every weapon, every level – and yes, unfortunately every spider – will be available in co-op mode.
“Everything’s better with friends, even when you’re trapped in a spider-infested mansion,” commented Casey Donnellan, the solo developer behind the Kill It With Fire series. “Multiplayer mode is something we’ve wanted to do for a long time, and Spider Hunt mode marks a historic moment in KIWF history where you can finally get sweet, sweet revenge as an arachnid.”
Kill It With Fire 2 will be released in Q1 2024 via Steam Early Access on PC. A full release is expected in 2024 for PC, PlayStation 4|5 and Xbox Series X|S.
