Arctic Freezer has introduced the 4U-M, a new air cooler for server systems. The cooler should have a high cooling efficiency and at the same time require particularly little power.
With the Freezer 4U-M, Arctic is launching a new air cooler intended to succeed the Freezer 4U SP3. The new model should be compatible with various server sockets, the manufacturer mentions Intel sockets among others LGA4189 and LGA4677. The cooler can also be used on AMD platforms SP6, sTR5, SP3, TR4, sTRX4 and sWRX8 To be used. With a height of 145 mm, the cooler fits into a classic 4U server cabinet and thanks to its compact dimensions (156 x 124 mm), the whole thing is also suitable for dual-socket motherboards.
According to Arctic, freezers can have a TDP of 4U-M Up to 350 watts dissipate, which will also make it possible to cool powerful processors up to 64 cores. The cooler probably only needs 2.88 watts to operate. The air cooler also has two P-series fans, which are used here in a push-pull configuration. The fans are designed for continuous operation and have correspondingly more resistant double ball bearings.
