Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III is set to release on November 10, and the developers revealed a lot of exciting details about the game at a special event. From an expansive multiplayer mode to zombies and a twist on “Call of Duty: Warzone,” there’s a lot to discover.
Modern Warfare III Multiplayer: A Tribute to 20 Years of Call of Duty
Modern Warfare III celebrates the 20th anniversary of Call of Duty and has an impressive collection of Modern Warfare multiplayer maps, including all 16 launch maps from Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II (2009). These maps will be updated faithfully to maintain the player experience.
The Modern Warfare III beta features five of the most popular maps from Modern Warfare II – Favela, Estate, Skidrow, Rust, and Highrise – on day one.
Apart from the launch, the Ground War map and a Battle Mode map will be available. The developers promise at least 12 new 6v6 core maps in the post-launch season.
New and returning gameplay features
Modern Warfare III not only brings back new features, but also brings back popular elements from the past, including map voting, the classic minimap, dead silence, and increased health.
Movement and combat mechanics have been improved to allow for faster and more responsive gameplay. These include canceling slide and reload animations, quickly cloaking objects while sprinting, and firing while gliding.
Weapons, operators and equipment
Players will be able to carry over their inventory from Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II, but new weapons and operators will also be introduced, including the Rival 9 SMG, Longbow Sniper Rifle, and Warden Kortak Operator.
Allowances have been revised and divided into various categories. Additionally, there are aftermarket parts that can dramatically change the weapon configuration.
Modern Warfare Zombies: A New Chapter
For the first time in the history of the series, the zombie mode will be presented entirely in the Modern Warfare universe. Players will face off against undead and other hostile forces in an open world as an Aetherstorm sweeps across the map.
Zombies features enemy concentration and new enemies, including mercenaries working for the Terminus Results PMC. The excitement builds as the game progresses and there are many secrets to discover.
Call of Duty: Warzone – a new map and more
The popular battle royale experience “Call of Duty: Warzone” will introduce a new main map, “Urzikstan”. There will also be changes to movement and combat mechanics, UI updates, circle pacing, and more.
