Today, MINTROCKET releases a free update for the relaxing diving adventure Dave the Diver, adding a new quest line, a new event boss, new species and more. This is the first major content update for the game since its release in version 1.0. The update is available on Steam starting today and will be released on October 26, 2023 at launch on Nintendo Switch™. Pre-orders for Nintendo Switch™ are available on the eShop, along with a free demo for players already interested in testing the waters; Pre-orders include an exclusive 8-bit themed skin for Dave’s boat as well as a Dave-shaped lamp decoration for the sushi restaurant.
Witty, colorful and critically acclaimed, Dave the Diver is surprisingly deep, with a variety of secrets and gameplay elements for players to discover as they explore. Players who download today’s update will be able to pursue new missions in the glacial area of the Blue Hole, discover additional night fish species, catch crustaceans with new crab and lobster traps (and participate in a Lobster Party event), unlock a powerful. New Event Boss After collecting all the Marinca, and meet a new VIP customer: the Traveling Trader, who offers new secret recipes and plants. When it comes to farming, the update adds some automation and tools: players can now ask Sammy to help with farm work; You can set up a chicken feeder and use a new egg storage box to protect the eggs from spoiling. The update also includes improvements in loading time and performance, as well as quality improvements. Starting today, Steam players will be able to collect new items from the Steam Points Shop, including trading cards, profiles, emojis, and badges.
Apart from the Steam Points shop items mentioned above, MINTROCKET has confirmed that all the content of the latest update will also be available on Nintendo Switch at launch. The Switch version will also feature new Joy-Con controls for some activities and mini-games, as well as, of course, the ability to play on the go: on a bus, on a boat, or sunbathing on the beach with the gentle waves of the ocean.
