On the opening day of the Splatoon 3 European Championship, the top twelve European teams competed in the group stage. After the exciting, round-based tournament, four qualified for the next day’s knockout rounds: Alliance Rogue from France, Golden Ratio from Switzerland, Spark from Great Britain and Ireland, and German team KaiZer.
The next day began with an intense semi-final between Alliance Rogue and Kaiser. In a tense best-of-five duel, KaiZer eventually took a narrow victory. In the other semi-final, Golden Ratio beat Sparks to advance to the final. However, Alliance managed to finish third against Rogue Spark.
A thrilling final between KaiZer and Golden Ratio saw KaiZer emerge as the victorious champion who will represent Germany at the upcoming World Championships in Tokyo.
But that was not all. After the Splatoon Championship was decided, the first Mario Kart 8 Deluxe European Championship began. In an intense tournament, Frenchman Thomas eventually emerged victorious and was crowned the tournament’s first ever champion.
Fans who missed the event can visit the Nintendo European Championship 2023 website or the Nintendo Germany YouTube channel and re-watch the competition. It remains to be seen how Thomas and Tim Kaiser will fare in Tokyo in January.
