Mortal Kombat 1 has been out for just over a month and there are already some big changes.
NetherRealm Studios just released the latest update to MK1, hitting Cyrax Cameo with a Nerf hammer, adding a new skin to the Halloween stage, and bringing back a popular feature that was missing at launch.
Although patch notes haven’t been released yet, Rooflemonger and others have noted that Cyrax’s horizontal flip assistant now requires a full Kamio scale to work.

This is a pretty big change for what was arguably the best Kamio in the game, taking up twice as many resources in one move, very good at combos and chains.
This means there may be more balance changes as well, but we’ll have to wait for the full breakdown to understand what’s really different.

In addition to the loss of Cyrax, NRS has added a new version of the Halloween stage to the Cage Mansion, which will likely be available for free for a limited time.
Fortunately, they’ve finally added the ability to pin movements to the screen to improve learning and practice opportunities.
Today’s big patch is now live and transfer tokens are officially back. As always, make sure your game is up to date and battle ready before you start. Full patch notes will be available soon. #MK1 pic.twitter.com/Mio38SKMVd
