Xiaomi has prepared another powerful update to showcase the new Xiaomi 14 (Pro).
Xiaomi has confirmed that the new top model will definitely have the brand new Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. But we’re more interested in what they have to tell us about displays, because that’s where the next big leap is. Xiaomi wants to be able to offer the brightest display in the top smartphones and will do so initially.
Now the first key information is known. This includes the 3,000 nits of peak brightness that OLED screens will offer. LTPO technology (1-120 Hz) is not surprising. With the Pixel 8 Pro, I now realize how important very high brightness can be in everyday life to always get the best image quality.
We’re currently at 2,500 nits on some top smartphones. Not so good devices have a maximum of 1,500 nits. Regardless, Xiaomi will really hit the jackpot with the new 14 series of smartphones. However, it doesn’t look like this brightness is only available on the Pro.
