HEXWORKS, a CI Games studio, is kicking off the spooky season with a free, limited-time Halloween event for Lords of the Fallen. The event starts today at 2pm PT / 5pm ET / 1pm BST / 11pm CEST and will run until November 2nd. Mornstedt’s world is decorated with seasonal cosmetics. Players can follow a new questline to obtain the Pumpkinskin Mask, a fearsome helmet inspired by the iconic Jack-o-Lantern.
The event coincides with the cross-platform release of a significant update – The Pumpkin Patch – which brings new gameplay mechanics based on ongoing community feedback.
The Pumpkin patch update includes:
- Revamped New Game Plus (NG+) – A new tiered NG+ system introduces Vestiges to game mode. With each higher NG+ level, more vestiges are removed from the game, increasing the difficulty for players.
- Full Crossplay – Players can now experience full crossplay functionality between all PC and console platforms. This follows the introduction of crossplay between Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation®5 players for the first time this week
- Enemy Density Reduction – Reducing enemy density in areas that players find particularly challenging.
- Performance and stability improvements – Additional performance and stability fixes across all platforms.
Hexworks invites players to submit in-game photos created using Lords of the Fallen’s unique 3D photo mode to be displayed in one of the world’s most iconic public spaces: New York City’s Times Square. Designed to capture the Lords of the Fallen gaming experience, be it an epic adventure, a grueling crusade, or a nerve-wracking foray through the nightmarish realm of the dead, Screenshot will be on display at the NASDAQ® Building for two weeks beginning November 26.
