Fans of Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading card games (TCG) can rejoice: Konami Digital Entertainment BV (KONAMI) has released the long-awaited 25th Anniversary Rare Collection for Europe and Oceania. This collection pays homage to the game’s rich history, presenting 79 of the most iconic cards in an unprecedented level of glory.
The 25th Anniversary Rare Collection includes cards of seven different rarities and introduces two new “Luxury Rarities”. For the first time, fans outside of Asia can get their hands on Collector’s Rares and Ultimate Rares in the stunning “Prismatic” style.
“Prismatic” Collector’s Rares stand out with their unique glitter effect, based on the same technology as the coveted Japanese “Collector’s Rare” cards. “Prismatic” Ultimate Rares, on the other hand, impresses with a special 3D paint effect based on the technology of the Japanese “Ultimate Rare” cards.
To celebrate the 25th anniversary, the collection includes Super Rares, Ultra Rares, Secret Rares, Platinum Secret Rares and the exclusive Quarter Century Secret Rares. Each booster pack offers access to three new luxury rare technologies and includes:
- 2 very rare cards
- 1 Secret Rare card with the possibility of upgrading to Platinum Secret Rare or Quarter Century Secret Rare
- 2 Ultra Rare cards, each with the option to upgrade to a Collector’s Rare or Prismatic-style Ultimate Rare
