It is well known that a few years ago, Nintendo tried to venture into the virtual reality segment the lab, since some games may have been tested with well-known cardboard audiences that ultimately did not satisfy the intended audience. And now, years after ceasing to release these products, it seems the Japanese company will take a new path that could work if things were done differently.
As reported in the media Gamerant, a new patent has been published, which reportedly talks about devices such as front-facing cameras, head-mounted displays, virtual cameras, mixed reality, camera adapters, and more. This could be a direct reference that they decided to bet on this technology, but with more serious issues, since users were initially annoyed that they were offered cardboard for 70 dollars.
From what is shown in the concept image, it seems that everything is going to be centralized like Gagas, except for the use of other tools like controls, and this is a bit strange, because almost every device man uses them, something that we have seen Meta Quest And PSVR2. There may be more hidden demo images though, leaving some elements that no one but the company knows about until now.
Another thing that attracts attention is that you can already connect to the rumor Nintendo Switch 2, and one of its features will be to run games in virtual reality, although this time dedicated deliveries will be sought instead of using glasses to look at the environment and be a little more immersive. However, we must take this information with a grain of salt as the details are yet to be finalized.

Editor’s note: If they make a new effort with VR, I hope they finally come up with something worth buying, because Labo never convinced me and still don’t, I’m not really going to pay for the cardboard they put on the Joy-con.
