It also has the twin-turbo V8 engine of the Audi RS6.
Bugatti built 450 Veyrons, but this isn’t one of them. Replicas are usually made by removing original body panels from an existing car and replacing them with custom-made parts that replicate the original. This process often results in odd proportions that reveal the car’s true identity. However, this replica of the supercar takes a different approach and features a bespoke body.
For the untrained eye, like not actually getting close to the car (sort of) Looks like a Veyron. It also features a 3D printed hood that accurately replicates the W16 and is based on a 3D scan of an actual 8.0-liter four-turbo engine. However, underneath is the 4.2-liter twin-turbo V8 from the first-generation Audi RS6 (C5). It produces 444 hp and 580 Nm (428 lb-ft), less than half that of the original Veyron.
One element taken directly from the Veyron is the slightly cracked windshield, which comes from one of the cars built in Molsheim, France. While the exterior makes a good attempt to emulate Bugatti’s EB110 successor, the same cannot be said for the cabin. The Veyron’s interior is covered in the best leather the Volkswagen Group can offer, but this model has its fair share of hard plastics.
The large EB logo on the steering wheel is flashy, while the gear selector and some switchgear are generic Audi. The air conditioning controls are original to a 2000 car with four rings, and the JVC aftermarket radio is not up to date. Trying to emulate the Veyron’s look also brought some imperfections with the driving experience, as there are some annoying blind spots and outward visibility through the original Veyron’s windshield isn’t the best.
Overall, however, it’s a good build considering it was a seven-year solo effort that cost £350,000. It is now said to be worth £150,000 For this amount of money you can buy a real supercar.
