Although there is no official information regarding its successor at the moment Nintendo Switch, several reports have surfaced over the past few months that provide a positive outlook for this new hardware. Now, recently it is known that The Switch 2 could produce over 10 million units in its first year on the market.
According to Bloomberg journalist Takashi Mochizuki, market analysis suggests that Nintendo will aim to produce 10 million units of the Switch successor in its first fiscal year This won’t be a big problem in the market, since, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X
Display shipment data suggests Nintendo will produce 10M+ next-gen consoles in the initial fiscal year. Unlike the PS5 and XSX/S which faced chip shortages at launch, Nintendo’s will be much easier to find in stores. And about the OLED version, Omdia says “not for this year.”https://t.co/7SnKeoZOtU

Although we only talk about production units, it is a small number. By comparison, in its first year, the Switch sold 13.2 million units, so production was much higher during that time. Thus, This may indicate that the Big N doesn’t expect its next console to sell more than 10 million units. In his first 12 months.
With that, Mochizuki noted that an OLED model of the Switch’s successor won’t arrive in its first year on the market, though it will be available in the future. Unfortunately, and as has happened in recent months, Nintendo has not commented on the matter. So at this point it’s unknown for sure what the company’s plans and expectations will be for this new hardware.
Let us remember that previous reports indicated that the console will have the same power as a PlayStation 4 and will retain the hybrid format. with this, The console is expected to have an eight-inch screen, though it will only be LCDAnd not OLED as many would like, at least for now.
We can only wait for Nintendo to share some sort of information, which according to some reports, It will happen in the first half of this year. On a related note, GameCube games will be coming to Switch Online. Likewise, you can learn more about the new console’s screen here.
Editor’s note:
Nintendo has a daunting task ahead of them. They need to sell a new console in a way that makes it clear that it’s a new product, but that it’s compatible with the Switch. They already failed with this during the Wii U generation, so I hope they learn so that the 10 million units produced in the first year are sold.
