As you probably already know, 2024 marks the 40th anniversary dragon ball. Thus, Shonen Jump, the magazine where this manga debuted, started a special celebration a while back where multiple mangaka took on the task of redesigning the iconic covers created by Akira Toriyama at the time. now, It was recently revealed that Takeshi Obata, the illustrator of Letter written before deathJoined this project.
Although their cooperation is not available at the moment, it is mentioned that Takeshi Obata’s featured image can be found in the February issue of Psycho Jump magazineSo we won’t have to wait long to see his finished work.

So far, Masashi Kishimoto, Kohei Horikoshi, Tite Kubo, Gege Akutami, Yusuke Murata and Sui Ishida, the authors of the most popular manga of the moment, e.g. My Hero Academia y Jujutsu Kaisenhave already participated in this project, and Fans are looking forward to Obata’s collaborationWhich will introduce us to the Dragon Ball characters with their characteristic styles.
Although Obata is remembered for Letter written before death, The painter has an extensive library and his most recent work, Sho-ha Shoten!, Introduces us to a few youngsters exploring their passion for music. On a related note, this is the trailer for the latest DLC Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot. Likewise, Prime Video comes with a lot of Dragon Ball content.
