The Xbox version of Final Fantasy 14 requires a Game Pass subscription in addition to the monthly cost of the multiplayer RPG.

A 30-day subscription to the game costs $14.99, 90 days at $41.97 and 180 days at $77.94. Xbox Game Pass Core, the cheapest tier, costs $9.99, $24.99 for three months or $59.99 for one year. The cheapest Xbox gamers can play Final Fantasy 14 for $17.98 per month if they choose the longest subscription at once. Xbox players will pay $24.98 if they want to pay for both monthly.
PlayStation players do not need a PlayStation Plus subscription to play Final Fantasy 14, leaving many fans confused as to why an associated Xbox subscription is required. PC gamers need no additional subscription.
