Xiaomi has been working for several years to shake off the cheap image of its smartphones and become significantly more recognizable as a premium brand. The next step will be taken with the Xiaomi 14, which even comes to us without the Pro brother. Initially, the smartphone stood alone in the global market until the 14 Ultra came later.
Xiaomi is taking a path that is hard to explain. According to latest data (from greece) classify the Xiaomi 14 at 1,099 euros. Must have at least 12 GB RAM and 512 GB storage. A variant with less memory can be cheaper, if it is planned at all.
We’ll know more in the coming weeks, but even Apple isn’t daring to set a four-figure price for an entry-level flagship right now, and Samsung’s going even cheaper in 2024. Xiaomi is again selling better smartphones, but this very expensive premium approach is a bold move in my opinion.
