Samsung will likely continue to follow a two-track approach for at least another generation.
While Samsung is already behind the scenes preparing the upcoming gadgets for the summer of 2024, the first 2025 models are in development in other departments. And like every year, the question has arisen, what strategy is the manufacturer adopting? Galaxy S25 series information is now leaking.
Qualcomm has already hinted and extended the contract with Samsung official a few months ago. Even then, it was assumed that this information would be leaked as it affected flagship smartphones. Can we follow the latest? Digitimes reports Believe me, it really is.
Qualcomm will remain on board for at least another year
Samsung is said to be firmly planning to maintain a dual strategy with Snapdragon and Exynos for 2025. In some markets like the USA, the Galaxy S25 series is again available with a Snapdragon chipset, while in Europe we get models with an Exynos chipset. We are talking about Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 and Exynos 2500 for 2025.
It is also likely that Samsung will continue to use Qualcomm chipsets globally for its pricier Ultra models. The Galaxy S24 already has a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset. This is either due to a clause in the contract or Samsung sees it as the best possible solution in terms of performance and efficiency.
Exynos-only still have to wait
Samsung has been saying for a while that it plans to rely exclusively on Exynos again at some point. By then there should be a benefit to the customer that can be well marketed. But it won’t be that far in 2025. This would be a better solution due to the cost to the company and the longer update guarantee.
