Is a fourth model of the Pixel 9 series still missing for the perfect selection?
Over the past few years, Google has really been on a journey of self-discovery, and the Pixel 6’s road has been particularly rocky. First there were two variants with different sized displays, then only one model and finally two models, with major technical differences. Things will be different with the Pixel 9.
As already leaked, there will likely be three versions of the upcoming Pixel 9. And it cannot be ruled out that there is also a fourth form. We currently know that Google is planning the regular Pixel 9 and Pixel 9 Pro in two different sizes for the first time.
The selection is getting better and more in line with Apple’s ethos. The focus of the new portfolio is that customers can buy the better-equipped Pixel Pro in a smaller version for the first time. Until now, you had to stick with the bigger screen on the Pro model. Customers are already confirming that Google is doing a lot with the new strategy.
Most potential customers will be happy with a smaller Pixel 9 Pro
In a survey by Android Authority More than 62 percent of people already said they would be happy to have more choices. However, 27 percent see the danger that the models may differ more, making the purchase decision more difficult. I can see the benefit of having a zoom camera with a smaller display – that’s what I’ve missed so far.
Google may now offer the regular version with a larger screen, which will likely round out the offering. But so far it doesn’t seem like that. However, there are a few months until October and we don’t want to blow anything off at this point – anything is possible.
