Samsung developers now have to worry about bug fix updates.
Samsung seems to have had enough time to extensively test the latest update with OneUI 6.1, but users are still facing increasing issues. For example, last year’s flagship Galaxies have been receiving major updates for a few days now, and complaints have been piling up ever since.
Two obvious problems appeared (via 9to5Google) On the one hand, the affected devices (Galaxy S23, Z Fold 5, etc.) not only charge slower, they heat up significantly more. Charging power has been reduced to just 15 watts in some cases. It’s not exactly fast and therefore a significant cut.
Devices get hot even when idle
Another problem is related to heat generation, which can get out of control in some devices. There are users who complain of devices getting noticeably hotter even when idling. However, when using new AI functions, higher CPU usage should be the answer you’re looking for.
If you share these issues, you can at least be sure that your device isn’t the only one affected and that Samsung is already working on a bug fix. Of course, enough users need to come forward so that the manufacturer understands the problems better and in more detail.
