While Xiaomi is currently switching from MIUI to HyperOS, Samsung is providing an almost equally important update with the new OneUI 6.1. Galaxy AI is there and much of the new offering will likely end up on the Galaxy S22 as well, Samsung hinted in a new announcement.
On the South Korean forum announcement Samsung will deliver OneUI 6.1 for 2022 devices from early May. It affects the Galaxy S22 series, Galaxy Tab S8 series and the two foldable Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Flip 4. Galaxy AI comes at the “Galaxy S23 FE level” on these models.
The Galaxy S21 series and the foldable Fold 3 and Flip 3 will also benefit at the same time in early May 2024. Samsung promises to provide “Circle to Search” and Magic Rewrite, so there’s text AI for users.
