According to the variation, Comedy Central has ordered 10 episodes of an animated series Golden AxeWith Mike McMahan and Joe Chandler as producers on this project. Additionally, Matthew Rhys, Danny Pudi, Lisa Gilroy, Liam McIntyre and Carl Tartt have been selected for the voice cast. Official description of this project:
“Follow veteran warriors Ax Battler (McIntyre), Tyris Flare (Gilroy) and Gilius Thunderhead (Rhys) as they battle once again to save Uriah from the evil giant Death Adder, who just doesn’t seem dead. Fortunately, this time they have the inexperienced and under-prepared Hampton Squibb (Puddy) on their side.”
McMahan and Chandler will co-write the first episode of the series and serve as executive producers, with Chandler serving as showrunner. Haruki Satomi, President and CEO of Sega Sammy Holdings Inc.., SEGA Corporation President and COO Tsuji Utsumi and SEGA member Toru Nakahara will also serve as executive producers.
