We are in an era where franchises personalitySince the launch of the fifth game in 2017, the world has completely taken over, a trend that has been growing, and it leads us to HD re-releases of certain installments, not to mention the remake of the third installment since a few months. Before, however, it seems Atlus didn’t make enough profit, so two games are already getting a new treatment to adapt to the current times.
Recently, a Twitter user named Dr Midoriwho usually divulges information from Atlus, noted that there are more games from this story on the way and that they will be neither more nor less. Person 1 and Person 2 (Including the vanilla version + the extensions that came out at the time). It’s part of the trend of bringing old games with new mechanics, and a fourth title will also enter the equation.
Persona 1 and Persona 2 are Japanese role-playing video games developed by Atlus, a company known for its role-playing games and complex plots. These games are part of the “Shin Megami Tensei” series, but focus more on character exploration and social relationships than the original series elements.
Persona 1: Revelation Persona (Megami Ebunroku Persona): Originally released in 1996 for Sony’s PlayStation console, “Persona 1” is the first game in the series. The game follows a group of high school students who discover the ability to summon personalities, a manifestation of their inner selves, and must use them to confront dark forces and solve mysteries in their town of Mikage-cho. “Persona 1” features a turn-based combat system and first-person dungeon exploration, as well as simulation elements of school life and social relationships.
Person 2: Innocent Sin and Person 2: Eternal Punishment: “Persona 2” consists of two interconnected games released on the original PlayStation. “Innocent Sin” was originally released in 1999, but was not released in North America until the PlayStation Portable version in 2011. “Eternal Punishment” was released in 2000 in Japan and in 2000 in North America. The games follow different characters, but they share story elements. “Persona 2” also features a turn-based combat and dungeon exploration system, as well as a focus on interacting with individuals and negotiating with enemies.

Author’s Note: It will be interesting to see these two stories in the new version, especially because they talk about darker themes than the modern installments. It remains to be seen if they confirm the game in the end.
