Recently there was a studio that made a port that was thought to be impossible for the Nintendo Switch and it’s nothing more or less. Shiver Entertainment, Who was in charge of bringing the game Hogwarts Legacy and Mortal Kombat 1 On the least powerful console of the current generation. It seems the company sees that potential, which is why they recently closed a deal to sell themselves to the owners Mario, Zelda, PikminAmong other franchises.
Nintendo itself has announced that it has reached an agreement with the current owner KAMPUNI, EMBRACER GROUP AB, To acquire 100% of the outstanding shares of the company and convert it into a wholly owned subsidiary. Many more ports are expected for high-quality games on the next hybrid console, and this requires experienced studios in their field.
Here is part of the statement:
By welcoming Shiver’s experienced and successful development team, Nintendo aims to secure high-level resources for software title ports and development.
In the future, even after becoming part of the Nintendo Group, Shiver’s focus will remain the same, continuing with port assignments and software development for multiple platforms, including the Nintendo Switch.
It is worth mentioning Nintendo I haven’t bought another studio since Next level gameThose currently in charge of important franchises viz Luigi’s Mansion and more Mario Strikers. And as part of their welcome, they say, they’ll help create quality ports for games that are next-gen and considered unreleased on consoles.

Editor’s note: I don’t know how good a buy it is, after all they weren’t versions of games that really stood out for their decency, in fact Mortal Kombat 1 was pretty criticized in its day. However, you may have a good reason for this.
