The June feature will continue to roll out through a series of app updates. The Pixel Camera 9.4 brings a manual lens range to the Pixel 6/7 Pro and Fold, among other things.
Like the Pixel 8 Pro, Google’s other two premium folding phones now let you choose between three rear lenses for taking photos. Tap (or swipe up) the settings cog in the bottom right corner to see photo settings. Next to “Normal” you’ll find a new “Pro” tab with lens selection: Auto or Manual
(Despite the tab’s name, these aren’t the “Pro Controls” offered on the Pixel 8 Pro, which let you adjust focus, shutter speed, and ISO.)
The zoom wheel above the shutter button has been replaced by ultra wide angle, wide angle and telephoto. When this manual mode is active, drag your fingers to zoom in/out When you open the app later, Google defaults to W.

Another change is that the Pixel Camera RAW/JPEG selection has been moved to the Pro tab. Previously, it was buried under Settings > Advanced Options. This makes switching easier if you later want to professionally edit your recording. Compared to the 8 Pro, there is no resolution choice: 12MP or 50MP
This update aims to bring improved HDR+ frame selection to the Pixel 6+, including foldables and tablets:
HDR+ is now even better at identifying the best moments in your HDR+ photos with just the touch of a button. It’s smarter which keyframes it chooses to create composite multi-image images by taking into account criteria like open eyes and smiling subjects.
Version 9.4.103.641377609.23 The Pixel Camera app is still a work in progress via Play Store. It complements the adjacent app with June’s features and server-side updates over the past few days:
As of Friday, Android 14 QPR3 is still not widely available.
