Pixel 8a impresses in DXOMARK tests: top display, high brightness, good HDR10 quality.
Like the Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro, Google bought a significantly better display for its Pixel 8a. It gets bright and doesn’t fade quickly even in sunlight. Or in other words: since the Pixel 8 series, Google phones can be used very well in the summer. Confirmation follows a known test.
DXOMark Confirming that the Pixel 8a has a very good display, which brings it to the 4th place in the high-end ranking. In the global ranking, which includes all new and old devices in all price ranges, if you consider the number of tested devices, more than twice is a good result.
Complaints from examinees were few. They highlight good brightness in open air, good quality of HDR10 playback in dark environments and smooth playback in every usage situation.
Compared to the Xiaomi 14 (significantly more expensive) and the Samsung Galaxy A55, it performs particularly well outdoors.
