Realme is making a real statement with its new mid-range flagship.
Realme is setting new standards in the mid-range segment with its latest smartphone, the Realme 13 Pro+ 5G. The device surprises with features that are otherwise only available in significantly more expensive models, especially the innovative periscope camera. That camera was also planned for Xiaomi’s Redmi Note 14, but was reportedly scrapped.
The camera equipment is undoubtedly the highlight of the Realme 13 Pro+ 5G. Periscope technology, which until now has mainly been found in high-end devices, enables an optical zoom with a focal length of 73 millimeters. Sony LYT-600 sensor is used for this. The camera setup is complemented by a wide-angle camera with Sony LYT-701 sensor and an ultra-wide-angle camera. The two main cameras have optical image stabilization.
Selfie fans can look forward to a 32-megapixel front camera. An interesting innovation on the camera software side is AI Audio Zoom, which highlights sound in focused image areas – a feature that should be particularly useful when recording video.
Under the hood is the powerful Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 processor, which offers 5G support for up to two SIM cards. Depending on the model variant, 8 or 12 GB of RAM and 128, 256 or 512 GB of internal storage are available.
The 6.7-inch OLED display impresses with a high local peak brightness of 2,000 cd/m² and a smooth 120 Hz refresh rate. Full coverage of the DCI-P3 color space promises vibrant and true-to-life colors.
With a 5,200 mAh battery and 80-watt fast charging function, Realme 13 Pro+ 5G is ready for long usage. Depending on the back cover (leather or glass), the device weighs around 190 grams and is 8.23 to 8.41 millimeters thin.
Android 14 based Realme UI 5.0 operating system used. The fingerprint sensor is integrated under the display.
In terms of price, we will end up with more than 400 euros when the new Android smartphone comes to us later.
