The foldable smartphone Xiaomi Mix Flip 2 has crossed an important hurdle for its international market launch with certification by the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC). The predecessor was released in the country just a few months ago. A model named “2505APX7BG”, possibly the second-generation global variant, has now appeared in an authorization database.
A Chinese version (“2505APX7BC”) and international versions have already been spotted in the GSMA device database. Based on this evidence, industry observers are predicting a staggered release in China and the rest of the world in May 2025.
The exact specifications of the Mix Flip 2 are still unclear, but the rumor mill is based on its predecessor, the Mix Flip:
- 6.9 inch foldable 120Hz OLED display
- Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3
- Up to 16GB of RAM and 1TB of flash storage
- 4.780-mAh-battery
- 50 MP dual main camera
- 32MP front camera
At the same time, there is growing speculation that Xiaomi may present another top model, the 15 Ultra, at MWC in Barcelona at the end of February. We’re talking about features like a 6.73-inch AMOLED display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite, a 6,000 mAh battery and a versatile quad camera.
