Our smartphones are equipped with many sensors and can gather data well It enables many great functions, for example detecting accidents and falls or noticing pulse loss. Google Pixel may finally offer it to German users.
Google’s new Pixel Watch 3 proves this impressively with another new feature that could save lives: automatic loss of pulse detection. This function is now also available in Germany
Pixel Watch 3 can detect and act on heart rate drops
What actually happens when you lose your pulse? In an emergency, the heart stops suddenly – every second counts. Its causes are varied and can affect anyone. This is especially dangerous when you are alone and have no one to call for help. That’s exactly where the Pixel Watch 3 comes in.
The smart watch combines sophisticated sensors with artificial intelligence. If it registers a cardiac arrest and there is no response from the wearer, it sounds an alarm. First, the watch vibrates and emits a warning tone. If the wearer is unresponsive, the watch automatically makes an emergency call and transmits the location to emergency services.
To prevent false alarms, the Pixel Watch 3 uses a combination of green, infrared and red light to measure your heart rate. A motion sensor provides additional information. The information is evaluated by an AI that works in the background. This is intended to avoid false alarms as much as possible
Google has finally been bringing more functions to Germany over the years
In addition to pulse lapse detection, Google is bringing accident detection and fall detection to Germany Fall detection works on all Pixel Watch models, car accident detection is available on Pixel smartphones and Pixel Watch 2 and 3. User reports show that these features can actually save lives.
Important: Functions such as accident detection, which are now available, must be manually activated in the system settings
