Samsung was early with its Galaxy AI and is still the market leader with AI functions in smartphone software. We are sure that the Galaxy S25 series will continue in this direction. However, Samsung is already revealing that Galaxy AI services will no longer be free for customers.
In early 2024, Samsung announced that it would offer Galaxy AI for free to new customers until the end of 2025. Now Han Jong-hee from Samsung probably has it when A PK at CES in Las Vegas let the cat out of the bag that a new subscription for Galaxy AI should start in February 2025.
The service will also initially launch in the US and South Korea. At the same time, Samsung is also launching a new intelligent robot that customers can buy. What exactly Samsung Galaxy’s new subscription service will include has yet to be revealed.
Google does something similar and only offers some of its AI features for free on Google phones. The full package requires an AI package, which customers can subscribe to with a storage package through Google One.
Samsung may also have a comparable solution. Price will be very important.
