Despite Prime Day ending only a couple of weeks ago, Amazon is poised and ready to offer up more online deals. Though the official Black Friday sale has not yet begun for the retail giant, it has already started offering a rotation of Holiday Dash deals to browse each day. So if you’re hoping to buy some gifts before the holiday season, you can find some decent sales already. Amazon’s Holiday Dash event is set to end on November 19, and we expect that this is when the official Black Friday sale will begin.
To help you find the best Amazon Black Friday deals as they arrive, we’ll be updating this page with the latest daily discounts as they arrive.
Best early Amazon Black Friday deals to shop today
The most difficult part of any online sale is sorting the good deals from the bad ones. The best deals on Amazon aren’t always highlighted in the main sale, so we scan a wide range of topics to find top discounts sitewide. From Apple tech to home appliances, these are 5 of the best early Amazon Black Friday deals to shop today:
- Eufy BoostIQ Robot Vacuum Cleaner — $150, was $240
- Apple Watch Series 3 — $169, was $199
- HP Envy Wireless Photo Printer — $100, was $130
- Cuisineart Airfryer — $100, was $185
- Instant Pot Duo 6 Quart — $79, was $100
When is Amazon Black Friday in 2020?
You can start shopping Amazon’s early Black Friday deals right now, but the bulk of the best deals haven’t arrived yet. Officially, Black Friday doesn’t actually happen until the Friday after Thanksgiving — which is November 27 this year. However, we expect that Amazon Black Friday will begin on November 19 when their Holiday Dash event ends.
With other retailers starting their shopping events as early as November 1, it’s also possible that Amazon could begin its sale after Halloween.
What Amazon Black Friday deals should we expect in 2020?
While we may not know everything Amazon will have up its sleeve for Black Friday 2020, there’s a pretty good chance it will be similar to what we saw on Prime Day. Some of the standouts from that sale were numerous iPad deals, loads of TV deals, and a smattering of discounts on MacBooks. There were also the standard Kindle deals and Amazon Echo deals offering smart speakers at rock-bottom prices.
You can also expect kitchen gadgets and appliances to go on sale. Almost every year we see more and more Instant Pot deals and cheap Air fryers go on sale than ever before. Along these same lines, you’ll want to look for deals on coffee makers and robot vacuums as Amazon is known for steep price cuts on these.
What you likely won’t see, unfortunately, are the best laptop deals and computer monitor sales of the year. Many of the items that were in high demand when the pandemic started no longer have older stock to sell at low prices. While you may see a few of these discounts here or there, they will be as few and far between as Nintendo Switch deals this year.
Will Amazon have Cyber Monday deals this year?
Typically, Amazon has an enormous Cyber Monday sale. In previous years, the online retailer has hosted a long stretch of deals after Black Friday called Cyber Deals Week. We don’t know for sure if Amazon will be participating in the shopping event this year, but if they do, you can expect many of the same deals as from its previous two sales.
Will Amazon Black Friday be better than Prime Day?
It’s highly likely that Amazon’s Prime Day and Black Friday sales will be very similar. You’ll see the same deep discounts on Alexa-enabled devices, Kindles, and Fire TVs that it offers in every shopping event alongside many eerily similar deals on kitchen gadgets.
Where Amazon Black Friday may differ from Prime Day is in the competition. While there were quite a few other retailers participating in the Prime Day fun this year, not everyone did. That means that if other sellers are offering better price cuts than Amazon, it’s highly likely Amazon will automatically match the lowest price.
Will other retailers have better Black Friday sales?
Almost every online retailer, with the exception of Home Depot, will have a Black Friday sale in 2020. While we don’t yet know if discounts from Walmart, Best Buy, and Target will out-pace Amazon deals in 2020, we do know that these sales will begin earlier. Here are the start times for each event:
Walmart: The Walmart Black Friday sale will be spreading across 3 separate weekends starting on November 4 at 7 p.m. ET.
Target: The Target Black Friday sale will be going on all November long, with new deals arriving each week.
Best Buy: The Best Buy Black Friday sale began on Prime Day with early deals, and will continue on through Cyber Monday with new discounts.
