TL; DR
- OnePlus will reportedly launch Bullets Wireless Z2 earphones later this month.
- The new earphones could offer 30 hours of battery life or 20 hours of use after 10 minutes of charging.
OnePlus last released a pair of neckband earphones back in 2020 when it launched the OnePlus Bullets Wireless Z. The earphones stood out thanks to a cheap price, fast charging, and long endurance. We’ve had a while to wait then, but a new leak has dished out apparent details regarding a follow-up model.
Tipster Ishan Agarwal and MySmartPrice report that the OnePlus Bullets Wireless Z2 will launch alongside the OnePlus 10 Pro in India on March 22 or 24. And it looks like the new earphones will step things up in a few key areas, according to the leaker.
The Bullets Wireless Z2 will purportedly deliver up to 30 hours of music playback – 10 hours more than the previous model. The upcoming earphones are also said to offer 20 hours of playback after just 10 minutes of charging. By comparison, the Bullets Wireless Z offered 10 hours of playback with 10 minutes of charging.
Opinion: True wireless earbuds are everywhere, but I’m not convinced yet
OnePlus’ latest neckband earphones are also said to offer an IP55 splash resistance rating (in line with the previous product) and 12.4mm dynamic drivers. They’re also tipped to arrive in black or blue colorways.
There’s no word on pricing just yet, but it’s worth noting that the previous model started at Rs 1,999 ($ $ 26). It therefore stands to reason that the OnePlus Bullets Wireless Z2 could arrive for a similar price. We’ll just have to wait for the launch event to find out.
