As you can see here, soon, The ‘Rich’ and ‘Engagement’ tabs in the studio will be replaced by a new ‘Content’ tab, which will enable separate data displays for videos, shorts, live-streams and posts.
Tapping into any one of these categories will show you dedicated data for each, which makes it easier to track the performance of your various content, which has been a top-requested feature on YouTube, especially since the advent of Shorts.
Short-form content is the trend right now, and Shorts on YouTube is already driving 30 billion views per day. Which in itself is impressive, but channel managers also want to know what kind of traffic Shorts is generating for their content and how it contributes to overall growth.
Now, that data can easily be found in the Studio app, while you’re still able to see the overall functionality of your content in the ‘All’ tab.
YouTube notes that all previously available metrics will be available in this new format, even if they have been moved elsewhere. Traffic sources, for example, which were available in the Rich tab, are now listed on each separate content type display.
For more advanced analysis, you need to switch to ‘Advanced Mode’.

This is a simple update, it will make it easier to measure the personal performance of your various YouTube uploads, and as Shorts becomes a big part of the puzzle, determining how much time and effort you will put into each different format can be key.
It’s also worth noting that the Content tabs only appear if you upload such videos. If you’ve never hosted a live-stream on YouTube, you won’t see a ‘Live’ tab like ‘Shorts’.
More data is always better, and these new dividers will provide great insights into how each element is helping to enhance your YouTube channel.
YouTube says the updated YouTube Studio Content tab will be launched in the next few weeks for all developers on desktop, Android and iOS.
