Webroot Console 6.5 here
To help the endpoint protection console move closer to retirement, we’ve introduced three new functionality features with Webroot Console 6.5.
Friendly name support
To improve overall user functionality across existing endpoint consoles, we’ve introduced a naming convention feature that allows users to assign a ‘friendly name’ to a device that will replace the original hostname associated with a device. All renamed devices in the endpoint console will see this naming convention reflected in the management console, allowing users to manage devices without having to navigate to the endpoint console.
Endless state
To further enhance the user experience, the site and entity pages have been improved with the introduction of permanent status. This role allows filters and searches to run throughout user sessions. Administrators can safely navigate away from a page and go back to the scene they were previously working on. Such functionality will be introduced in other areas of the console in future releases.
Site admin view only
This release brings a new look and feel just for site admins to help them align with the rest of the webroot management console. This view represents the beginning only for site admins. Admins will still have access to the endpoint security console during the upcoming release process.
The release of Webroot’s latest console provides users with a simplified and centralized management system, intuitive user experience and enhanced visibility.
