In addition to its EOS R7 camera, the Canon R10 has announced a midrange 24MP APS-C mirrorless camera for its RF mount.
At the center of the EOS R10 is a new 24MP APS-C CMOS sensor with dual pixel AF. Like the R7, it can take still images up to 15 fps (23 fps with e-shutter), or capture 4K / 30p oversample video using the full width of the sensor. There is also a 4K / 60p option taken from the 1.56x crop. It can capture 10-bit HDR PQ video, but does not offer COS Log 3 footage of the EOS R7.
The autofocus system is virtually identical to the system found in the R7, which includes a refined system with algorithms derived from the EOS R3 full-frame mirrorless camera. It has a dedicated mode for tracking animals, people and vehicles and no separate AF area and tracking mode. Now, the complete array of AF area modes can be used for subject tracking. There are also a number of new view modes, including a focus stacking mode, a panorama mode and a panning mode that intelligently selects a shutter speed to keep the subject sharp and provide optimal blur.

The same 2.36M-dot OLED EVF on the back of the IPS is available on the EOS R7, but the 3 “full-standard display on the back of the camera is a 1.04M-dot panel. -C, 3.5mm microphone jack and micro HDMI port, but no headphone socket.
Probably due to its more compact form factor, the R10 uses Canon’s LP-E17 battery, which is ideal for its rebellious DSLR and the latest M-Series mirrorless cameras. Despite being significantly smaller than the LP-E6NH used by the R7, Canon states that it uses a CIPA-rated 430 shots per charge, using LCD in power saving mode (or 210 shots less priority per charge via EVF in smoothness).
EOS R10 $ 979 is available in MSRP (for body only). Kit options are also available with the new 18–45mm F4.5–6.3 IS STM or 18–150mm F3.5–6.3 IS STM for $ 1099 and $ 1379, respectively.
