Upgrade these graphics with an explosive splash of paint and attractive graffiti treatments and you’ll end up with an art style different from Street Fighter 6’s.
Meet the first character
And what is Street Fighter without the iconic roster of characters? Back in Street Fighter 6 are Ryu, Chun-li and Luke, all of whom have redesigned for this new era. Joining them is a brand new face, Jamie who will add his own character to the game with his unexpected move – based on drunken boxing – which includes breakdanceing and drinking a key-unleashing drink.
Luke uses his background as a contractor for a private military company to teach mixed martial arts. He spends his days eating junk food, playing video games and challenging opponents in a good old fight. Yet, in his eyes there is always victory.

A war system built for creativity
With each new Street Fighter comes mechanics that you can master to get to the top. Introducing, the drive system, a gauge that you have to manage intelligently and mature with creativity. You can use drive gauge to perform five different strategies that can easily increase your offense or defense.
A drive impact is a powerful strike that can absorb an opponent’s incoming attack and cause a wall splat. Use the drive parry to repel your opponent’s attack and replenish your drive gauge. Quickly close your opponent from a normal attack in a drive parry or drive rash. The overdrive arts are like the EX moves of past games that reinforce your special moves. Use Drive Reversal to get you out of a difficult situation to carry out a counter attack. One gauge, five strategies, unlimited possibilities. Use your creativity to choose when to use a strategy. It’s all in your hands!

A modern type of control for everyone
For those who are concerned that fighting game inputs are too complex and only want to reveal your inner warrior, we have a solution in the form of a new control type option. First, the classic control type is what seniors can expect to use for inputs with its six-button layout. New to Street Fighter 6 is the modern control type, which allows easy input where a special step can be taken by combining the “Special Move” button with a directional input. It is suitable for new players or those who have found classic command inputs a bit difficult in the past. With the modern control type, your character will perform some of their most striking (and best) attacks with just a few button presses. Modern control type is optional, but we recommend that new players try it once!
