Meta wants to do its part to advance digital literacy with the finale of its new ‘The planet of promiseThe online security series is now available in Messenger Kids.
As you can see in this video, the purpose of ‘Place Planets’ is to teach you how to stay safe while engaging online, as well as to show respect to others and how they view your comments and actions in the shared space.

“Digital citizenship is an important skill for kids to learn when they start spending time online. [Pledge Planets] Messenger Kids aims to reinforce the core elements of commitment – be kind, respectful, be safe, have fun – to help shape their first online messaging experience.
The program consists of four ‘planets’ that children can explore to learn lessons about online interactions. There are games on every planet with video clips, providing a fun, interactive way to learn the basics about online security and engagement.
Meta has created the program in partnership with its youth advisory team, a team of experts in the fields of online safety, child development and children’s media. This has helped Meta create more efficient, inclusive and complete programs that will provide young people with much-needed guidance as they begin their online interactions.
