ATOMOS has announced ZATO connection, The second fully integrated device to join the CONNECT range. ZATO CONNECT was designed to make livestreaming and high-quality video conferencing accessible to the public.
The 5-inch ZATO CONNECT is a compact, easy-to-use gateway to ATOMOS Cloud Studios. The device supports almost all HDMI and USB UVC sources and supports Wi-Fi 5 and Gigabit Ethernet (via USB-C) features for maximum network compatibility. In addition to streaming on Facebook Live, Twitch, YouTube and other social sites, ZATO CONNECT can be used to improve web conferencing.
ZATO CONNECT will convert HDMI sources to webcam signals so they can be used with Microsoft Team, Slack, Zoom and other video conferencing software. The AtomOS Lite software has all the tools you need to combine source, record stream, and overlay graphics. Upcoming updates from ZATO CONNECT will introduce additional ATOMOS Cloud Studio services and support for NDI | HX.
ZATO Connect has input and output ports for both HDMI and USB UVC. It can convert output from a wide array of video sources to a livestream or webcam source.
ZATO CONNECT uses a SuperAtom IPS 5-inch (1000nit) display, Wi-Fi 5, USB-C, and Ethernet (via USB-C adapter). It can be powered by an NP-F battery or USB-C PD power options. A 3.5mm audio jack can be used to add microphone or line source and ZATO Connect can be used to mix with embedded audio from HDMI or USB UVC.
The Atomos ZATO CONNECT is compact enough to be mounted on a mirrorless camera. It can also be used next to a PC, Mac computer or gaming console.
ZATO CONNECT makes livestreaming and high-quality video conferencing easy and accessible from anywhere. With support for HDMI and USB UVC cameras or video sources, the device is equipped with Wi-Fi 5, Gigabit Ethernet (via a built-in USB-C adapter), and the ability to join cellular hotspots, so you can stream to social sites Facebook Live, Twitch. And YouTube. Alternatively, you can create high-quality videos for conferencing software such as Microsoft Team, Slack and Zoom.
The AtomOS Lite software includes a number of basic tools, including overlay effects, image zoom, and frame guides. There is also support for aggregating live sources or providing recorded content.
The ZATO CONNECT has an audio mixer that can be used to adjust and combine audio signals from HDMI and USB UVC sources with embedded audio from 3.5mm analog input. Each channel can be adjusted independently and blended into a single stereo track for a livestream, recording or video presentation.
At launch, ATOMOS Stream will include free support to deliver content directly to a single platform, including Facebook Live, Twitch, YouTube and more. Later this year, ATOMOS aims to launch a premium paid “re-streaming” service to support simultaneous delivery across multiple platforms through ATOMOS Cloud Studio.
ATOMOS Stream employs industry-standard encryption so that all data it transfers is protected and streams are protected. The integrated system supports a large range of cameras. Customers can use it with digital movie cameras, mirrorless or DLSR cameras or iOS devices.
