Lay down in the midst of decaying memories in this handmade Metroidvania.
Hi, we are Plot Twist, a young but experienced studio on the indie video game map in Poland. We have just announced the name of our new project The last case of Benedict Fox Xbox and Bethesda game showcase and we can’t wait to tell you more about it!
When we started the project, we knew we wanted to create a world that you would believe, tell a story that would stay with you, and design a gameplay that would draw you in. For this purpose, we have created The last case of Benedict Fox Experience a hand-made Metroidvania.
By “handicraft” we mean a seamless combination of the depth and richness of Metroidvaniya with the immersive environment of cinematic platforms. In other words, you’ll fight monsters, solve wide-ranging puzzles, and explore locations like surreal maze, while unraveling a twisted and intriguing plot involving secret organizations, forbidden rituals, and cold-blooded murders.
One of the things that makes Benedict’s investigation so special is his accomplices. Our detectives were bound by a monstrous entity at birth and their fate has been involved ever since. What’s an interesting part of learning (let’s talk about it some other time!) Has some practical implications.
First, the partner’s ability allows you to explore the mind of a recently deceased person at the last opportunity to receive “testimony.” These limbos are the surreal world where memories, emotions and injuries take physical shape. Forms that would normally seek to harm Benedict.
This is when it becomes clear that a monster companion is also a great asset in war. Combine your abilities (which obviously include the tent!) With firearms and creative use around you to defeat enemies – but remember concentration and a tactical approach are still your best allies.
We have much more to tell you The last case of Benedict Fox. We can move on to the effects of Noir Fiction, early 20th century jazz soundtracks, Burton-esque art genres, the horror stories of a certain family … if you’re in for a supernatural mystery, keep in touch until Benedict begins his investigation. In the spring of 2023.
