SGBIT has announced a new range of RGBW panel lights Vango. This new range includes VANGO-70, VANGO-100, and VANGO-100L.
The VANGO-70 is a 1 × 1 70W panel, the VANGO-100 is a 2 × 1 100W panel, and the VANGO-100L is a 3 × 0.5 100W panel. All VANGO series lights are made entirely of metal and come with a removable aluminum 4-leaf burner.
VANGO panels only 2.1cm / 0.78 thick. Not only are they reasonably designed to be lightweight and portable, but they can be powered by a built-in V-mount / gold-mount battery plate. Here are the weights of different panels:
- VANGO-70: 4 kg
- VANGO-100: 6 kg
- VANGO-100L: 4.9 kg
SWIT claims that VANGO panels are brighter than its competitors when used in RGB mode. The VANGO-70, which draws 70W, is said to have the same brightness as other 200W RGB products, while the output of the VANGO-100 (100W) is comparable to that of a 300W RGB panel. Most RGBW panels can only output 1/3 of the brightness of the red, green or blue channels. Using SWIT’s unique time-division technology, the VANGO panel has much higher RGB output than other RGBW products of the same power.
The panels do not use any kind of fan and are passively cooled so that they do not make any noise. They also have a built-in diffusion panel so that if you want to create a soft source you can use them without a softbox, but do not want to carry extra items like a softbox.
All lighting has a 3.5 ″ color LCD panel that lets you control and adjust your lighting settings. In CCT mode, the panels can go from 2800K to 10,000K with the claimed CRI 96 and a TLCI 93. In addition to CCT / HSI / RGB / CIE / Light Effects, there is also a gel selection mode, which Rosco provides and supports Li Gel, and gel imports.
The VANGO series can also be controlled via the new free SWIT Console mobile app, which is available for iOS and Android devices.
The whole idea behind the Vango panel was to bring affordable, well-made RGBW lights that people could use to fill an original light or illumination for small scenes. The design of the VANGO series is based on SWIT’s existing PL-E60, PL-E90, and PL-E90L lighting.
On the back of the panel, you’ll find a 5-pin DMX input and output port, an integrated V-mount / Gold-mount battery plate, and a USB port for firmware updates.
