Facebook remains the main social media platform to focus on SMB promotion, but TikTok is growing as more businesses look to short-form video apps to expand their reach.
According to that one New research By SMB support service Hello AliceWhich surveyed more than 7,000 small business owners To gather more insights into how they are moving towards their marketing in 2022.

First, as mentioned, the survey found that social platforms are now being used by businesses for marketing and outreach, much more than you might expect.
Facebook and Instagram remain the main platforms, with TickTock and Snapchat at the bottom of the list. Twitter is not listed, but it appears that Twitter was not mentioned in the survey question, so it only relates to the five platforms that appear.
Research has also shown how SMBs are gaining traction in each app, with Instagram topping the list as the best option for organic promotion.
Individual results will vary, but IG’s reach and potential for engagement still pays a lot of value, even if it becomes more chaotic of late.
But TikTok is clearly on the rise, and in another piece, respondents point out that TikTok is actually the best app for creative expression and storytelling.
The term is now available with more SMBs considering TikTok based on the experience of other brands.
In fact, among those using TikTok for marketing, 58% indicated that the platform has positively impacted their business, while 78% plan to increase their TikTok marketing investment.
TikTok is also launching new creative uses of social media, which is another key consideration.
Here are some interesting notes – not too surprising, but interesting to see how TikTok is changing marketing methods, not only as an emerging, popular platform, but also in terms of creativity and the way brands consider their efforts.
