Venus Optics Indigogo campaign Its new Laowa Nanormorph lens is not over yet and the company has already announced another variant for cinematographers who want a more neutral flair.
At launch, Venus Optics stated that its ultra-compact Laova nanomorph lenses will be available in both Amber and Blue variants, providing warm and cool flares and highlights for the aesthetic aspirations of the artist shooting with them, respectively. While there is a nice change of speed compared to some companies to choose from both options that only introduce anamorphic lenses with one or the other, Venus Optics is taking it one step further by offering a new ‘Silver’ option. This third iteration will provide neutral-colored flames and highlights that provide a ‘relatively subtle and less confusing’ flair than its amber and blue contemporaries.
Below are some demo footage showing the differences between the blue and silver versions of the same scene:
The Silver 27mm T2.8, 35mm T2.4 and 50mm T2.4 lenses are completely unchanged from the Amber and Blue models, designed for the Super 35 and Micro Four Third sensors and available for Canon EF, PL Mount, Canon R. . Sony E, M43, DJI DL, Nikon Z, L mount and Fuji X mount systems. Their prices will be the same, so you are not paying a premium for one color variation.
