Filter manufacturer has Haida Announcement The PROII CPL-VND 2-in-1 filter, a new two-in-one photo filter that combines a circular polarizer with a variable neutral density (VND) filter, retains the ability to adjust each independently.
Each of these filters works independently of each other, this combo filter allows users to darken the whole scene with a VND filter and selectively adjust the circular polarizer to control polarization in a specific area of the scene. For example, this filter will allow you to slow down your shutter to add a little speed to the water with the VND filter and selectively use the circular polarizer filter to darken the sky instead of other elements of the scene.
The filter is available in 67mm, 77mm and 82mm sizes. If you have to adapt it to a small front filter thread, you’ll need an adapter. Haida says the filter weighs 48g (1.7oz).
PROII has not announced when the CPL-VND 2-in-1 filter will be available or what it will retail for. We have contacted the company to get this information and we will update the article accordingly if we receive a response.
