Atomos originally made a deal late last year where you can get the Ninja V + for 999 USD. It was originally $ 1,499 USD when it was first announced.
The Ninja V + Canon can record Apple ProRes RAW from R5 to 8K 30p. You can also record ProRes RAW up to 4K 120p on HDMI with Z Cam E2 and E2-M4.
The Nikon Z9 can record ProRes RAW internally and its own N-RAW so you have to think about what the future holds for moving ahead of external recorders. RED has taken legal action against Nikon, so it will be interesting to see what happens with that case.
