According to a survey, buyers of current Pixel cell phones tend to be dissatisfied and will choose a different brand for their next device. Is the Pixel 6 series due to initial bugs a fluke or a real problem for Google?
In the comments below our post, many people expressed their views. When I started my assessment, there were at least 87 reports. From this I wanted to filter whether you actually shared the dissatisfaction of US customers. Of course, it is not representative, but it is very interesting for us.
Google Pixel Satisfaction: Surprisingly balanced
Overall, most people who have actually expressed satisfaction with Pixel devices are satisfied with their own Pixel smartphones. Many people with the current model report that they can only list a few points where they have something to complain about.
For those who are not satisfied, it is actually always due to some fixable problem and not the devices themselves. Unfortunately, Google has been pulling close to average performance for mobile communications, WLAN and Bluetooth for years. Noticeable issues like disconnection are the inconveniences that disgruntled customers often cite.
The problem repeats across multiple pixel generations
About 30 positive reports are offset by just over 20 negative reports. I rated 4 comments as “neutral”. Therefore, one cannot say that the Pixel series has only anti and disgruntled customers. When Google phones cause dissatisfaction, it’s often for the same reason. This should make it easier to implement improvements.
For me personally, there has been a curve since market launch. Earlier in the year, I had minor issues that Google later fixed. But really severe dropout happened to me in mobile phone connection. It took some time to import the devices Since then, my satisfaction was at a different level.
