UWB is the new standard for contactless communication between gadgets. UWB is used, for example, for digital car keys. With the Google Pixel, unfortunately only for the Pro model.
The American FCC authorities have now clarified that the regular Pixel 7 again has no integrated UWB. Google is currently using this hardware for digital car keys and proximity sharing. What else is possible with UWB, we once wrote in another article or here.

Google still reserves this high-end feature, which is otherwise rarely installed, for the Pro. According to FCC data, very clearThat UWB is only on the Google Pixel 7 Pro. This was also the case with the Pixel 6 series. Too bad actually. So I believe the deployment of UWB cannot progress fast enough.
Details known so far about the Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro:
