The new series was announced last week Resident Evil Netflix canceled after only one season. While many already saw this decision coming, especially considering the poor reception and company trends on the matter, several were still surprised, e.g. Lance Reddick, the actor who played Albert Wesker.
Through his official Twitter account, Reddick shared a message thanking everyone involved in the series for their participation., and Netflix regrets the decision it made in this regard. This is what he commented:
“I wanted to make this video because I wanted to give some recognition and thanks. As you all know, our Resident Evil series has been canceled on Netflix. Despite the haters and trolls, I want to send a special thanks to all the fans who watched and understood what we were up to. We really love them because there were so many of them.”
A special thanks to all the fans who watched #ResidentEvilNetflix, showrunners, my castmates, executives and more. We worked our asses off and had a great time. pic.twitter.com/A98aQVuA7t

Although first impressions painted a good picture for the series, once all the chapters were released, The community was not happy with the end result. Thus, Netflix, who are still going through a complicated situation, decided to end this production instead of trusting the mind behind the project.
On a related note, one of the actors in the series didn’t know that Resident Evil was a video game. Similarly, you can play with Lady Dimitrescu Resident evil village.
Editor’s note:
It is a pity that this project was cancelled. While it is true that the production was flawed, it presented us with several interesting ideas and good performances. Hopefully such incidents will not happen again in the future.
